nomoss
Does someone know the name of this pretty bush, please. About 5m high. Seen near Treignac in May last year.

nomoss
Thank you very much!Searching via Google I'm guessing European Snowball Bush, Viburnum opulus "Sterile", becasuse of the maple shaped leaves. We saw it growing in thick damp pine forest, so, as it likes "moist yet well-drained humus-rich soil", we can do the well-drained bit, but I don't think it will be a suitable candidate for the rocky, dry clay in what we jokingly call or garden[:(]
ukhostland
Yep, everyone has it right as Viburnum opulus Sterile. Easy to grow, even in the rubbish clay soil of our front garden in the Centre.
nectarine
I call it the pompom bush, grows well around here but it is very very prone to blackfly - they love it!
