Jonzjob
We have a couple of, not very big, platan trees in our garden that have been effected by a canker. I want to cut them down and I believe that trees like this should be burned? My question is, instead of burning can they be taken to our local detceterie? If so the trunk bits will go in the land fill and the smaller branches into the green waste. If they have to be burned we would have to either seek permission from the mairaire or employ a gardner to cut and remove them. We don't really have anywhere where we can burn them either. So I hope that we could take them to the dechet??
Loiseau
I had a local tree-cutting firm to come and remove some of my trees, and they brought a chipping machine coupled to their lorry that dealt with the wood as they cut it. Though, come to think of it, i was keeping the burnable logs, so it was essentially branches that they chipped and removed in the back of the lorry.Angela
CSV
Our decheterie will only take branches up to 10cm, that's because the machine used to liquidise them won't take anything bigger. Trunks and stumps are definite no-no's.Your mileage may vary, but I suggest you ask first.
