Gastines
Further to queries on the large mill by the edge of the Rance. Went there today and my wife asked a lady in the house there about it. It is only now used for storage on the ground floor, is owned by her grandparents, is unlikely ever to be sold. Also nearby ,have you seen the boat graveyard at Quelmer? We keep finding all sorts of interesting buildings and walks all over this area, plus of course all the beaches/coves,etc. I'm always surprised that so many English visitors get off the ferry at St Malo, turn right, dash off to the south and miss all this area has to offer. Russethouse
Thanks Gastines - what a waste of a building - the fact its used for storage suggests it doesn't flood, it must have a great view from the upper floors too.I agree with you about the area, we have had two week long holidays and two long weekends around there as well, esp good for a short break as there is quite a lot worth seeing in a compact area.Gay
