Jp1 Posted May 24, 2004 Share Posted May 24, 2004 Has anybody else filled in the response coupon sent by sacem.If you play music/radio or have means to or have a television in rooms or communal areas.If you say yes, do they charge you for it ??It says they then send you a contract, anybody got one and what does it allow you to do ?I think we've had one before but just ignored it.I guess you only get it if you're registered with the cdc like all the other junk mail we seem to attract being registered as a commerce.regards.JP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, a few years ago now when I wanted to use music as a background for a slide show. The Sacem form was complicated and the jargon technical, in the end I was rescued by a french friend. I think the American organisers of this Expo in Lyon ended up (reluctantly!) paying the fee.At another event in Alsace the organisers (local tourist office) said that it was o.k. for us to play the music on CD.s while people visited our exhibition.
