Chapeau!

Recommended Posts

Hats off to all of you out there running B&Bs. Last week we learned that we were going to have guests converging on us from far-flung corners of the globe (well, Middle-East and Spain) more or less on the same day. I just spent a frantic two days sorting out two sets of matching bedlinen and clearing cobwebs from the spare rooms, and I'm exhausted. And that's before I start planning menus and clearing up after them.

So, "Chapeau!" to all of you who do this for a living.

Couldn't agree more - a friend of mine used to have sampler on the wall which said "My house is clean enough to be healthy, and dirty enough to be happy."
I'm afraid we have to have a mammoth clean every time visitors loom on the horizon - life is too good here to waste time scouring and scrubbing all the time! I am sure that running a gite/ chambres d'hote etc must be gruelling, especially in glorious weather.
