Wilko
I wonder what views you people out there had on advertising and its cost effectiveness. For instance: Uk press, Sunday Times, Telegraph etc.Specialist publications, Living France, FPN. Web based ads, Chez Nous, French Connections. Web based french sites. Local tourist office. What do you think are the most effective in creating sales?????????
Mpprh
Hiregardless of the effectiveness of paid ads, there are lots of free ad sites. And it costs very little to create a simple web page, which you can point people to.Search Engine Optimisation takes time, but is worth the effort.See other recent posts about the effectiveness of this.Bonne chancePeter
lecabine
Hi Wilkowell, from one who is always looking for somewhere to stay, I only request the specialist publications, and ones that offer direct bookings with the owners, never had a problem in years of holidays in france.Web pages are OK, but you have to keep content fresh so that the search engines will revisit and place you higher in rankings.Personally, I like a good brochure, glass of wine and phone!Greg
Fontremy
Greg, by the time you'd read Chez Nous from cover to cover you would be well and truly sloshed! We've really cut our ad in CN this year as we feel there are too many to choose from - using their website, where you can select by number of people, area etc is much more simple. I can't help feeling they will have to go this way. The other issue they have is that the brochure is published far too late - today in fact - when all our peak weeks are already booked.
