Changing registration from B&B to hotel

We're thinking of changing our registration from chambre d'hote to hotel.

We know that'll involve an inspection of some sort by the prefecture, but we were wondering is there anywhere we can find out what the actual requirements for a hotel listing are? Our property was previously (two owners ago) registered as a two star hotel/restaurant and so we think that there shouldn't be any major changes required to the building itself but would like to know that with a bit more certainty.
