Yvonne
Please can somebody tell us how much a TV licence costs in France per TV?Is there a maximum number of TV's allowed? Do you pay more by offering TV's to guests either in communal areas or in bedrooms? We bought a TV in France about 6 months ago and are still waiting to here about the licence. Apparently it is linked in with our tax return now? Thanks,Abi.
alnmike
HiYou don't buy a separate licence, it is now included in your tax. You have to apply to be exempt!
Miki
It is not actually personal tax as such but it is lumped in from this year with taxe d'habitationWith having TV's in every room for guests use, I think one has to be wary. Friends with a hotel pay extra licence fee for such. Being a B&B, we have a TV in the salon de residents but in fact, it is just like a second living room and as such we are allowed a second TV as part of the household redevance. Having one in each room, I thought I read once that was an extra to be paid but do not take that as gospel, well not yet perhaps as someone will know ?
