Fire Regulations 3 bedroom Chalet (max 6 persons)

Hi All,

I have been searching for this answer but can't find it anywhere. So I was hoping that someone maybe able to help or point me in the correct direction.

We are thinking about taking a lease on a 3 bedroom chalet. It can sleep a maximum of 6 people (potentially 7). We would most likely run it self catered/B&B and also half board. The owner who runs it as a catered chalet says we don't need a wired fire alarm due to it's size. Is this correct?

Also, they said we don't have to have a sleep in staff member due to it's size. Does this sound correct?
