Handy
Hello everyoneWe have two passing roads near our Chambres d'Hotes and I was thinking of putting some small notices up pointing to our vallage turnoff to generate passing business. Is this legal? Will they be removed by the 'officials'. I am sure we have all seen similar small notices all over France for Chambres / B&B .Thankyou - Maureen
zeb
This is something you will have to ask your Mairie as many communes are quite strict about homemade signage. You could ask them for some official signs (you'll probably have to pay for them). Just point out that your CdH will bring much needed revenue to the commune from tourists, as well as your taxes.

Quillan
You can either, with permission from the owner, place them on Private land or on the public route. If you do the latter then they must be a certain distance from the actual tarmac (3M I think) and you will need a 'permit' (or whatever its called) from the DDE.
