0001helen
Can anyone recommend a good starting point to check what insurance / regulations apply to operating a gite with some additional activities included in the rental cost? Operating a gite 'geared' to bikers with situation close to race track, etc as main attraction to this market but would like to offer accompanied tours.Has anyone made the move from offering simply accomodation to including extras involving yourselves - eg. accompanied walking / cycling etc. Any advice re insurance or regulations would be most helpful - also if anyone can recommend a company offering gite insurance in France in English!MAny thanks
Jens
This would interest me too....For example if you had a pottery studio within the gite - what if someone got hurt using the machinery ?I would guess some sort of public liability insurance... but to what level ?Again - if you provided food - what if someone got very ill ?What if you offerred bike rental - is it up to the visitor to have adequate holiday insurance or is the onus on us to check this all out ?Etc etc etc....Well worth investigating....
