Gite owners beware!

Had a phone call on Friday from a woman with an American accent , she asked for me by name. She said she was interested in my gite and asked was it still available to rent. I said yes and asked who was calling. Didn,t give a name but said would I be interested in having an extra 12/14 weeks rental per year as she worked for a large company specialising in private holiday lets. At which point I asked for the name of the company, her reply was..I,ll get to that in a minute, are you interested? I said yes but I,d like to know the name of the company first, she then hung up!!

Very suspicious I think So  if you get any offers that seem to good to be true, beware!

I think I told the same person that after such a long time letting

accomodation in gites, b&b's etc in France and her being an

American and with no knowledge here, how did she incredibly know, how

to get even more out of season bookings than we were getting at the

moment?

"Don't talk like that to me" she said.....................and that was it !!

I do fear that so many newcomers, in real need of bookings, will risk

all with these no good b*******s,  who think some people might be such

easy touches.
