Frank
Hi everyone, next year will be our first year in the gite business,[:D] hurrah!!!!! For clients from UK and France, admin systems re contract/payment etc in situ, however, what about somewhere like czech republic???? Do French banks take bankers drafts in euros or will I need to instruct for sterling drafts for uk account???, I can see from previous threads that bankers draft is ok for Australia etc. I would prefer payment to our french account and my other query is ..............has anyone else had guests from the czech republic or should I be cautious???? Any suggestions greatly receivedMany thanks[:D]Jetlag
DZ
Hi JetlagI hope someone in the know will advise you on the payment issue (I will be interested to find out too!). My point is about the Czech Republic. Please, don't worry - these guests are likely to be like any other people from the rest of the EU: they have some spare money and can afford good holidays. I know many wonderful and highly cultured Czechs and I hope you will have good experience with them too!
Jo Taylor
Bank transfer rather than a draft is quicker and easier and cheaper - the Czech Republic is in the EU but doesn't use the euro, so make sure the client pays the fee at their end (or you can make an adjustment when they arrive / receive their security deposit back, but make sure this is stated in your contract). You will need to supply your IBAN and BIC.An alternative is to use PayPal.Jo
