MaryLegs
Hello, I am currently looking at a few properties in the Dordogne region and once I find the right one it will be time to negotiate. I know in the UK you can easily find out online what the current owner paid for the property and when they bought it. Is the same data available in France, if so where? Thank you. pachapapa
Data not available in france.I live in a hamlet with a dozen properties. Six have changed hands, some of them twice, in a period of fifteen years; I can only guess the prices. When you finally buy a property there will be nothing in the "acte authentique" drawn up by the notaire or notaires indicating the price that your vendor originally purchased the property. Mac
We only found out what the previous owners had paid when we got all the paperwork, deeds ect about 6 months after we purchased our property.Fortunatly they paid a great deal more than we paid them!!!
