Mark
Do GdeF or Clévacances have regulations governing minimum double bedroom dimensions? I know a room has to be a certain size to qualify for 3 epis for instance, but I can't find anything suggesting they have minimum size regulations.Thanks. Cerise
Mark - GdF have minimum size bedrooms of 12m² without bathroom area (find info in Guide de Créateurs). Although I am not with GdF our Préfecture uses their guide lines for inspections (as I suspect do many other organisations). You are not obliged to register with any particular organisation - although some Tourist Offices won't take your info if you don't - but you are obliged to declare your B & B or gite to the mairie and usually the Préfecture. I have certainly seen both gites and B & B with very small rooms, but whether people would mind being cramped when there is so much choice of accommodation is another matter.Maggi
Clair
In the guide sent to me by the Préfecture (not GdF) before they came to assess the gite, it says the minimum sizes for a double bedroom are:for * rating: 7m²for ** rating: 8m²for *** rating: 9mfor **** rating: 10m²for ***** rating: 12m²There are additional criteria(sp?) in addition to these. Cerise
Sorry 12m² was for CdH - I forgot to look at the gite measurements.
