Eos
My first post so please all be gentle!! In our experience Saturdays, while awkward sometimes for the flights that might suit guests more, tend to work better if you have to get cleaning or pool staff in. The other advantage, particularly if a booking is a little early or late in the season, is that your guests have the chance to do a bit of shopping to supplement all the goodies left by you!I guess if you're looking after things yourselves, then the choice is yours.Hope that helps.Eos
alnmike
We go Friday to Friday - often slightly cheaper transport, plus if your caretaker is busy (most seem to be) it will be a help to them!
David
HiI have a gite complex in the Charente. When I bought it, it was a going concern and the changeover day was a saturday. I kept this arrangement for the first summer but after hearing of various horror stories of people driving down, getting stuck in jams, road checks and how long it was taking I changed to a sunday. Everyone who has visited me since during the last six summers has stated how empty the roads are, and how quick they get to us. Hope this is of some help with your decision.David
