zeltus
We've received our taxe de sejour demand for this year - it seems to be growing rather faster than any other bill we receive, measured as a percentage.I am a little concerned that a couple of years ago, it just appeared - no-one warned us it was on it's way in, how it would be levied or anything else :- does anyone have any details? But what really riles me is that they add TVA on it - since when was a tax taxed? Or am I missing a point here?Any advice gratefully received - I feel an action group coming on!
Benjamin
Try a search on taxe de sejour. Plenty of info there.
BJSLIV
More info than you could possibly want.http://www.taxedesejour.net/ I assume you are being charged a fixed sum , based onthe capacity of your properties, rather than the "per head, per night basis". If my assumption is correct, then yes the tax is liable to VAT its governed by the French tax code.
