Aly
I have read some conflicting views. But as a Non Resident does the Micro bic abatement remain at 71% as for French residents or does it change to 50%.?thanks
EuroTrash
But the micro-bic system only applies to micro-bics, and if you've registered a micro-bic in France does that not automatically make you resident? Or am I confused again?
Aly
I think you can be part of the scheme and non residentbut not 100% sure?
Chancer
Isnt it 50% for all except those that have a classification who are the only ones currently allowed to continue to benefit from the 71% abattement?Doesnt answer your question re residence though. EuroTrash
Chancer's explanation definitely rings a bell, I'll vote for that. And the more I think about it, the more I think you can use the micro abattement if you're non-resident. I was confused earlier.
Cendrillon
"you can use the micro abattement if you're non-resident"I'll confirm that. We are registered as micro bic.
Aly
Yes it does seem you can be non resident and part of the mirco- bic scheme. We are still in GDF so as former residents we got the 71% but we have had conflicting views as to whether this continues as non residents at the same level. Our accountant seems to think it does not? My understanding is that the higher rate is for rural gites or CDhotes that provide certain services ie linen, greeting etc or those who are members of GDF.
