BJSLIV Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 If it is your main residence, and you have been tax resident in France, there would be no Capital Gains Tax to pay. However if you sell within five years of completeion , you would have to pay VAT (19.6%) on any increase in the value (Selling Price less the Artisans Invoices for the cost of construction ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
