johnycarper
Can anyone please tell me what size fuse should be in the fuse box to run an electric cooker on.We have a gas cooker in the gite now and want to change it to electric and before I pay an electrician to come out wanted to know what size fuse it should be in case we already have a big enough circuit in there.Thanks. CSV
We have a 16 Amp CB in our panel, but that's for the an electric oven and gas hob ignition.
ventodue
Will depend on whether it's a full cooker (cuisinière) or just an oven (four) because of the different loads.Cooker: 32 amp. Note: also needs 6mm cable.Oven: 16 amp.Btw, I can't imagine any sparkie fitting 'fuses' (cartouches) these days. He'll use MCBs (disjoncteurs divisionnaires). And there should also be a RCD (interrupteur différentiel) to protect people against leaks/imbalances.HTHCraig
