passiflora
Well really I wondered today what the point of my self-closing pool gate was. Our visitors had decided to remove the large spring from the self-closing mechanism and also take the top separate lock apart so that it did not close at all.It took poor hubby a good two hours to repair and we were lucky to do that we almost had a 40 minute trip to Castorama to get some new locks. There seems little point in complying with the law with guests that do that sort of thing.Carole (16)
Baz
LAST EDITED ON 21-Aug-04 AT 07:25 PM (BST)It is amazing what guests will do. Perhaps, you will need to point out to future guests that the self-closing pool gate is a French requirement and must not be interfered with. I assume that you will charge for your Husband's time for the repair against their breakage deposit.Baz
