SaligoBay
The property is small, and without boring you with details, there's no obvious place (aesthetically or logistically) to install a permanent fence. So, does retractable fencing exist? You know, like a roller blind, except vertical?

BJSLIV
......And presumably, just like covers, it would be a pain, to put it in place every single time the pool is left unattended.

As it is not a passive device, such as a permanent fence, you would have to press the button every time you walked away from the pool leaving it unattended....In truth it rises much faster than a roller cover tales to crawl out (mine takes several minutes), but nonetheless. The most dramatic invention I have seen is a false bottom to the pool, made of whatever your pool surround is composed of, that rises on hydraulics and leaves you with a completely level surface/terrace/wood deck. You can even stop it short so that a full depth pool becomes a kiddies paddling pool. If you have the money of course.

Have a look at http://www.prestitech.com/It's not the cheapest option!Richard
