Chauffour
Saligobay, this is a kind of retractable fence.... i installed it this usmmer and are quite happy with it.But i had to buy a different, proper metal gate.if you are in 24 you can come to see it (the fence is now dismounted, but the poles and gate are still in place) Massimo
SaligoBay
Thank you, Massimo. I wondered if it might be. Easy and quick? If we decide one evening to use the barbie and eat by the pool, are we talking 5 minutes to get fencing out of the way, or is it a case of deconstructing it and reconstructing it? Chauffour
i would say it's a 5 minuts job for each section you need to remove, not the ideal but probably the best solution, for sure much better than the protect a child model. Montybird
Hello there,We're also looking at pool security and whilst looking through these threads found this one interesting. I thought the prices quoted above seemed pretty good so went onto Everblue's site to see for myself. I just had to cut and paste today's prices to show how much they've gone up since last year...Exceptional spring 2005 offer PoolBarrierPriceSUPERGOLD TC*8 x 411,80 x 7,703 880 €3 570 €9 x 411,80 x 7,703 880 €3 570 €10 x 514,00 x 7,704 125 €3 795 €11 x 515,10 x 7,704 247 €3 907 €12 x 615,10 x 8,804 856 €4 468 €Jules (24) Montagrier
Poolguy
I make that just under 100 euros per meter. I presume that this price does not include installation, I wonder about tax.If the above is true then, at those prices this offer is no where near competitive. One of the other issues to remember is delivery which is getting tighter and tighter for all of the reputable brands of fencing as the deadline draws nearer. On another side, did anyone see the segment on pool security on Channel 6 CAPITAL programme last night. They demonstrated a couple of solutions one of which was the compression wave type immersion alarm. It sounded off 9 seconds after the (simulated) child fell into the water. In most cases I would say that its already too late even if you did hear that alarm and respond instantly. The other system was the flexible mesh fencing.. Its a solution and apparently approved but not very attractive to my eye.Apparently, more than half of Frances 1 million swimming pools as yet have no security. There is a quite sad attitude that it 'will not happen to me because I don't have any kids' prevailing. I guess that there will have to be a prosecution before many people will face up to and complete their obligation in this area.Andrew

If you look around there are plenty of other products on the market, you just need to trawl the internet for a whileRichardhttp//:www.piscine-barriere.com
