BJSLIV
I think you will find that hotel pools come under a diferent set of laws relating to public pools so the specific regs about fencing, gates and covers do not apply.
chirpy
IF THAT IS THE CASE THEN IT MAKES THE NEW REGULATIONS A FARCE AND CHILDREN ON HOLIDAY IN THESE HOTELS WOULD BE AT RISK!
Poolguy
News to me I would be interested to know which 'set of rules' cover hotels and campings. As I understand it there is a requirement for a life guard to be on duty if the pool is over a certain size. I think that it is something like 200sq meter and is open to the public. Save that, I was sure that the same security provisions are enforceable. This matter is amongst the prime movers for the Regional governments to appoint inspectors to enforce the law which they should be doing come Jan next year. That and the startling statistic that more than 50% of pool owners in France have yet to comply. I guess that it will take a few prosecutions to get the message across;Andrew
