J.S.Bark Posted June 24, 2006 Share Posted June 24, 2006 I've had my pool now for a month and a half so i'm just getting into the swing of maintenance etc.When I got up this morning to clean the pool I noticed that around the steps and other areas of the pool(pre form)there are these little brown dots with what look like dust tails. I initially thought it was just dirt but upon closer inspection saw that they look more like little spots of rust or something. I am naturally very concerned about this and I am now wondering what I may have done to cause this and whether it is a major problem.I would appreciate any help.Thanks. Poolguy Posted June 26, 2006 Share Posted June 26, 2006 That really looks like Brown algae, indicating not enough chlorine in the water.But you should try yo brush or vacuum it off.If it doesn't come off then its something more serious, perhaps plating out of some metal in the water but that is unlikley in a new pool.Andrew Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
