kathyg
Evening everyone,I'm not coming back to our house in France (Brittany) for 2 weeks and wondered if it's better to leave the cover on or off to maintain water quality? As sunlight degrades chlorine I thought it might be better to leave the cover on but then thought the water might stagnate under the cover, filter will still be on to get rid of leaves etc if I leave the cover off. I won't have time to go and buy any new products but I have chlorine and ph minus and plus. Should I overdose with chlorine to keep it going for 2 weeks? - it normally needs topping up once a week. It's only a round 5m pool, about 3' deep but I'm hoping the weather will still be good enough in a few weeks for a quick dip!! (Lounging on the floating armchair actually!!) Any bright ideas? Macker
Make sure the chemical levels are good then cover it up, you should have no problems when you return apart from topping up a bit and you won't have to fish out a load of incects... kathyg
Thanks Macker,That does seem to be the general consensus so will give that a go! The skimmer takes out the insects though so if insects are the only reason for putting the cover on, could I leave it off? It is a bit of a faff to do.[Www]Kathy
