Top Tip:

Worst thing of last year :  Cleaning the pool

Purchased a hydrallic pool cleaner

Now: Effortless clean pool

I plan to run the salt producing unit in the pool and have the pool clean itself, all by itself... fingers crossed

I got it off this guy:9310philippe from ebay and it was much cheaper than the shops.  It is a Zodiac g+

p.s. No connection to the guy, just happy with the cleaner...

Robots come in all shapes and sizes.

This robot from Zodiac is the development of the original Kreepy Krawley, invented in Australia. There are many different variations on this now working on aspiration from the pump.

The second type works on pressure, that would be polaris, and the larger Haywards.

And the third is the electrically driven version  which are self powered.

Of them all I prefer the first type for economy and the last for efficiency.

Hi Andrew

I did have a look at the electrically driven ones but my understanding was that you have to take them out each time you used them and it needs its own electricity source.

For my needs something I can leave in the pool, does not need an electrical source, has no running cost(runs when the salt unit runs) and just does its thing was good for me.  I am surprised it does actually works although I am not sure how.

My one is meant to climb up the walls too which it does not... if it did that would really baffle me.
