auxadrets
You can buy calcium hypochlorite, granules and sticks, from:Techniques Piscine, 1400 Boulevard Jean Moulin, 83700 St. Raphael. Hope that helps, John

OK no problem. But you don't want to use Javel (sodium hypochlorite) why for heavens sake not? Its straight chlorine and its cheap as chips available in ANY brico or Farm supply.Calcium Hypochlorite is another equivalent but not good for hard water areas, also not as easy to find or as cheap. Both do the job ..; so what's the problem again????Andrew

I've also tried Castorama, Bricorama and Bricomarche without any joy.I hadn't thought of farm suppliers, but I don't think there are many of those near here (Var) - most growing stuff around here is olives or vines (hic), although we had an interesting visit a while ago from flocks of sheep on their annual 'transhumance'.So - the hunt continues, but in the meanwhile, its a case of Ca(ClO)2 (which I bought from a shop in St Raphael, and yes, it's expensive - and the bloke gave me dire warnings about its life-threatening properties if not used correctly)Cheers
