Katew
Is it possible to buy rolls of liner and glue it on to a concrete pool? The pool is 25 years old, and currently we paint it every year. There isnt an off the shelf liner that would fit it, as the bottom is an unusual shape. I figure it would be easier to keep clean, and help stop some small leaks. Thanks for your help,Nick. Théière
Not in the thin liners 75/100 grades as these can be manufactured to suit your pool if you can produce an accurate drawing. The alternative is to have the pool liner made on site, the liner is much thicker and has a mesh embedded in it so its incredibly tough and will outlast the thin liners. It arrives on rolls but the fitters heat weld it on site one company who do this DLW delifol is available throughout Europe at around £35/pm It is made by Armstrong flooring so that should give you an idea of the toughness. Poolguy
Kate and NickWhat you ask is possible, however its also possible that it will not be an easy matter as with many concrete pools, the fittings are not meant to take liners; that is that they have no facility to accept a gasket and pressure plate for water proofing. Sometimes this can be forced into place but that practice is very risky and often ends up with leaks which kind of defeats the purpose of putting a liner in in the the first place.More often in this situation, all of the fittings; bottom drain, returns, skimmers and prise balai have to be changed to accommodate a liner being put over the top and to make a seal. Needless to say that this is usually a very expensive exercise and very disruptive. It too cost money howevedr, (its not for free) but not nearly as much as the old way. So if you want to explore the possiblity further then please send your contact details and then email a pic or two of the pool.Andrew
