Manon
We are planning to install a pool early next year and the pool company has said that if we leave a week between filling the pool and erecting the abri we don't need to get planning permission. Is this correct and would we not fall foul of the security regs in this case - even if it is only for a week ?Can anyone tell me what the PP costs for a pool and abri please ? Thank you ! halfblind
My understanding is that you only need a declaration du travail for a pool - this was the case a few yrs back anyway but may have changed. As regards the swimming pool security law - which is a folly ! - it is my understanding that it is the responsibility of the pool installer to leave the pool when completed in a state to meet the regulations. Therefore if your contract calls for an abri as well then only when that is installed and you have signed off the work would the responsibility pass to you - until then it is a work-in-progress and safety is the responsibility of the installer.
