Pool tester.

23 months ago I lashed out and bought a new pool chem tester. A LaMotte ColorQ Pro 7. A bit expensive, but What price to know what you are swimming in? It's very acurate and measures free chlor, total chlor, bromin (which I don't have), PH, calcium hardness, total alkalinity and cyanuric acid. As we had a couple of weeks away late May I didn't really open the pool or uncover the solar tubes until we got back. Then when the pool was coming up to temperature, low 20s, last week I decided to check the chemical levels. Problem, the tester was dead. I changed the batteries, but still dead. So I phoned LaMotte in the U.K.,  where I bought it from. The guy there was really helpful and checked the warranty using the serial number. It has a 24 month warranty. I was told that it would be replaced under that warranty, no problems. I also asked if he could send me a box of DPD1 tablets as I was running short.

Yesterday we were out all day and when we got home there was a box in our post box and the facture must have really shoved to get it in there. I had to remove the new tester and crush the box to get it out. I had expected a new tester, but I had a complete new case with all the test tablets, test tubes and everything plus a spare box of DPD1 tablets. It was far more than expected!!! and very generous.

So, I think that if you deal with the best then you can get the best service and I would recommend them and their kit to anyone.

Well done LaMotte Europe [:D]

All I need to get now is some more cyanuric acid and a 25 kilo bag of bi-carb [:-))]
