Response to our Objection letter

We received a response to the French Health Issue standard letter relating to those who are inactive, here less than 5 years and in the CMU prior to 23.11.07.

 

Basically it says that they have received large volumes of letters asking for information etc. our dossier would be studied prior to the 31.03.08 and they would advise us of the outcome by letter. My french is terrible, so below is the french version.

 

Monsieur,

 

J'ai bien reçu votre courrier du 05.01.08.

 

Je vous précise qu'en raison du volume des demandes et des informations complémentaires à recueillir, votre dossier sera étudié avant l'échéance des droits fixée au 31.03.08.

 

vous serez avisé, par courrier, de la suite donnée.

It says that "due the the large number of requests and because of the extra information which needs to be gathered, your file will be looked into before the deadline of 31.03.08. You will be advised of the outcome by post."

I wonder what exactly the extra information that needs to be gathered could be. They have all the information on us in their file. Perhaps it is just the standard response holding letter. It will be interesting to see what response we get from the president of the appeals office.

They may refer to the clarification circular which they await - it could have nothing to do with info' about you personally.

I suspect they are taking the view that giving a detailed personal response to people who are currently affiliated and whose cover is going to be renewed in any case on 31 March is a waste of time and resource....
