Suninfrance
This may be a bit of a tricky one.I'll be moving to the Limousin area (Correze (19))this year (hopefully) and would like to know how I go about getting regular (annual) CT or MRI scans as I had a brain haemorrhage two years ago. I don't want to "leave it to luck". Healthwise at the moment I am fine, but I will need to have either a CT or MRI scan annually to check that everything is as it should be.Any advice gratefully received.Jan
Chrissie
Just find a doctor (GP) when you arrive, explain your existing health situation and ask for the annual checks. I think you will find it far more readily accepted here than in the UK that such checks are necessary. I would imagine that this would be covered 100% by the French system, but you must still get yourself a "mutuelle" (private health insurance) for paying general top-ups on non-100%-covered treatment and drugs.Chrissie
