Hereford
Hello everyoneHas anyone out there managed to find top-up insurance for the elderly at anything other than a huge price? I am looking for top-up for one 79 year old and one aged 80 (not us!). One mutuelle we have asked ( who will not take over 80's) quotes 1188 euros p.a. for the eighty year old, another quotes 864 euros p.a., in each case to cover basic level of hospital care and normal continuing care. The second quote seems relatively reasonable but in view of the huge difference between the two we feel we must look at as many as possible!Any help gratefully receivedTricia
Teamedup
Our mutuelle wouldn't even take them and many won't. There is a huge 'risk' factor involved in taking such elderly clients, so I don't actually think that these prices are bad, either of them. One doesn't have to take a mutuellist after all. If they are in good health, maybe forking out their part of their health care each time may well be a cheaper option.
