Miki Posted August 18, 2004 Share Posted August 18, 2004 It might be a long time in your area but it is now with us around here.Has anyone been to their Docs with a sore throat or associated problem and the doctor asked you, if can take "swab" from the back of your throat?He then proceeds to test the swab with a machine, to see if you are in need of an antibiotic. The Doc was pretty proud of his new gadget (he is a pretty young doctor who loves his gadgets etc)and said it was the new way of finding out, if what he finds means giving an antibiotic or another form of medecine.Not long now until you stick your tongue in the computer somewhere and get instant results.
