zeb
Have you tried www.gites-de-france.fr ?
Morse98
Zeb,Yes have tried them however unfortunately they don't seem to have anything for the period of time we are looking for! Even if properties are not entirely booked for that period all the ones I have seen so far have a least a week or two booked up somewhere in the middle of the period we need.Just hoping that there may be someone that hasn't let their property for some reason and would rather let it to us for a few months rather than let it stand empty! Morse98
Hello Sue,Thanks for that suggestion and it maybe that is what will have to do however as we are going to be overseeing our renovation we would prefer to be settled in one place even if not for our benefit for the benefit of our older dog! We do know this area extremely well anyway as we have lived over here for a few years we are only in this position because our property here sold in 3weeks and we had to rent as we had not found anything to purchase in the time between compromis and completion. cooperlola
June near Le Mans? - I'm afraid you're having a laugh! Rental properties any time near the race date are like gold dust. However, you could try phoning Sonia Moinet 02 43 20 84 06 - she has a lovely little gite but I don't know her booking situation. In fact Morse, I've just checked and it's available for the whole of July but not June or August. cooperlola
Is Domfront too far? I did find this doing a quick search of "Welcome"http://www.welcomecottages.com/uce/welu?view=details&action=readDetails&cottageId=404798&holidayPark=N&sleeps=4&propertyTypeId=&complexId=
Morse98
Cooperlola,Yes I do realise that trying to get anything near Le Mans is like gold dust at that time of year, especially as we used to live not too far away from the circuit!Unfortunately we should have completed on our barn puchase before now and have been in the middle of the renovaton and therefore could have moved into there even if we only had one room finished, however it is taking longer than anyone thought to get the CU approval.Thank you for the link to property in Domfront unfortunately it is a bit too far away however it is something that we can think about if nothing else turns up.
