Sue17
Can anyone please advise me on the situation with hearing aid costs in France. We are planning to move to France in the Spring. My elderly mother has a NHS hearing aid which is proving insufficient for her needs. She is currently on a waiting list for a digital aid which may (or may not) provide an improvement for her. In the UK she has been told she will have to wait approx 2 years. Is this something she will have to pay for entirely, or will she only be liable for the top up and does anyone know if there is a waiting list in France. Any advice would be appreciated. BJSLIV
As she is waiting for an NHS appointment, I assume this means that she is resident in the UK. In which case she would not be covered in France under the E111 (emergencies only) scheme and would have pay 100% for a private aid.
Sue17
Perhaps I didn't make it clear that we (including my mother) are planning to move to France in the Spring. It is after the move that I am concerned with.
