DogsRus
Can anyone help me find an english speaking gynecologist in Dept 17, 16 or 79? I have a long story, and not good enough French to get by! I did go to a lady near where I live with a friend, but now need a second opinion. Thanks dogsRus
Foxtrot
Gynaecologists are a vanishing race in France. The numerus clausus in med schools has all but vanished and there are less and less gynaes qualifying. It might be easier if you went to a GP unless you have a specific case history.Katie
SaligoBay
DogsRus,Ask your neighbours, or try the online Yellow Pages:http://wfb.pagesjaunes.fr/pj.cgi?Foxtrot's right, and a good gyny might well have a few months of waiting list. And when your appt comes, she'll be out delivering a baby somewhere, because they do that too!As with everything in France, it depends on where you are. Good luck! Joanl
I had a very good one in 16, at La Rochefoucald behind the town hall, 6 Rue de L'Aumonerie, tel. no.05 45 63 02 55, I only had to wait a couple of weeks for appointment. She speaks good english. joan
