How do you do it?

How do people manage to have their Incapacity benefit paid for more than 26 weeks.  Am coming to join you in 47 in September and have been told by Newcastle that I have to put in writing a case for receiving benefit for more than 26 weeks.......this will be decided by the Decision Maker.  Did all of you who are on IB/DLA have to jump through the same hoops?  To start with, we are coming for 1 year on a fixed term rental, this is what we have told them......did we do it wrong, is that why all the fuss?

I know this problem has probably been aired almost to death, I really would appreciate your help, though.
