Val_2
Every resident in France registered with a doctor receives a home testing kit for colon cancer whenthey are 50. Our friends in their 70's received theirs last week and what a laugh it has given us imagining all those thousands of smelly samples during hot weather piling up in the sorting offices and testing labs and the best way to "collect" your start and finish samples for three days. Its certainly a good idea though, but can't see the UK NHS doing such a thing even though perhaps: it would cut down on appointments.:
BJSLIV
They have carried out a pilot scheme In North Warwickshire, and are reviewing the results, with a view to national implementation in the near future. As far as the process is concerned, its enough to put you off Marmite for life! Iceni
As someone who was a lab technician before the modern machines were there to do the testing - or test strips available, you could always tell when tests like this were being done - the whole place reeked. Fecal fats were the best - we used something like a liquidiser - and the youngest technicians had the wonderful job of cleaning the bits and bobs afterwards.Hopefully sealed containers and test strips/machinery have overtake the stomach churning events of the past.I will wait with bated breath for my sample pot to arrive
