Latron
HiMy husband and I are hoping to move to France this September. Initially we will be living off our capital as we are both under retirement age. When we have renovated our 'Gite' (summer 2006) we will be letting it out (hopefully!).So, here's the question. We know that to begin with we need an E106, and that if we move to France this September the E106 will only be valid until Jan 2007. I will not be 60 until May 2007 so there will be a gap of about 5 months until I get my pension and can claim health care as a retired person. However, if by then we are trading, can we then claim health care as self employed people?Any advice as to what to do would be appreciated. Many thanksCath
Val_2
More than likely but you still have to pay the CPAM part and then a Mutuelle to top it up for the other 50%+ , nothing is free, not even when you are retired as you still need that all-important Mutuelle which for over 60's isn't particularly cheap so you need to shop around for the best deal to suit your particular circumstances.
