RMI (revenue minimum d'insertion)

Champak Pol

Recommended Posts

I read with interest the following:

If you are fiscally resident in France, then you can apply for RMI revenue minimum d'insertion, similar to income support, if you are on low or no income, also CMU to cover the shortfall in medical charges.

is there a minimum time before you can claim for the RMI? I read somewhere else that you have to have been resident in france for 3 months minimum? and what is the exact amount of RMI? because of french social charges i can see why someone would want to get the RMI so that they get themselves sorted before paying the high charges as none to pay if you are on it if you are setting up a business.

thanks for any help.

And the forms to apply for it are in the "Formulaires" box here:

It helps if you speak French.  But then if you're planning to set up a business so soon in France, you obviously do, ya?  [;-)]

Well actually no you can't. French people that are resident get not a sou when under 25.

I hate people coming here and even asking about this. This is scrounging of the first order. Look it up, I really would not help anyone moving to this country with anything to do with sapping the system.

Oh my God!  [:-))][:-))][:-))][:-))]

And here's me just spent ages on-line, doing extensive research in my own precious time, in order fulfil the worthy purpose of this forum - providing a well researched, concise and accurate anwer to a genuine question which might have an important impact on this person's life.

So it's Champak Pol  - alias Searcher30, alias Blade, alias whatever her first user name was........

Well, would you believe it, eh?!

Checking out the forum Code of Conduct, it states that users must not post messages which (inter alia):

Impersonates or represents any person or entity in an attempt to deceive, harass or otherwise mislead another member.

If I'd known this post was by the writer Searcher30/Blade/etc, then I wouldn't have wasted my time providing the detailed research for her (alleged) book which she seemingly can't be bothered to do for herself.  By changing her user name, I've clearly been deceived and misled.

Perhaps our Admin would care to consider enforcing the rules in this case.

Actually it's be spotted and worked on. If anyone see's something like this it's a prime example of what the 'Report' button is for. Without a 'Report' there is only a slim chance things like this will normally be spotted.

Added - You should only contact the moderators about these sort of problems via the 'Report' button as this is the only way a log can be created. If there is no log we can't act and you may not even get a reply. Even the moderators have to use the report button if they spot something. Logging ensures no misunderstandings at a later date and things also don't get lost. Never complain via a moderators email or PM because (normally) nothing will happen.
