lilly Posted September 5, 2007 Share Posted September 5, 2007 HiWe move to France next year when our house is built, we have sold our business and are renting in England at the moment, we were approached by someone who wanted us to house sit for them in France (through mutual friends) but they have actually managed to sell their property, this gave us the idea that there may be other people in similar circumstances and we may be able to help each other, we could look after and maintain your property in exchange for us living there, we could also look after any animals that you may have or any gites that need cleaning, repair etc...Our house will be ready March next year (fingers crossed) and is in the Charente area. We do not mind where we house sit as long as there are good transport links (plane, train) to Paris as my husband works in Paris 2 days a week. David Posted September 12, 2007 Share Posted September 12, 2007 Hello Deb and Chris.I have just visited the Living France forum for the first time and spotted your wanted ad. My family and I are in the process of relocating back to England, mainly because my daughter wants to do her GCSE's there. We are about to put our house in France up for sale and we think that it might take a little while to sell as it is a fairly large property. We share the house with my in-laws which hasn't worked out. We are looking for someone to house sit and look after our dogs which have to stay here for the next six months.
