Reciprocal health care running out

Hi

I hope someone can suggest a next step.

We have been in France for just over two years we have a carte vitale and have been recieving our helathcare via CPAM. As we are not yet registered CPAM were being reimbursed via a recipricol arrangement with the UK authorities. We have recently recieved a letter saying that this is due to expire. The initial period given being two years. We were paying national insurance in the UK for a good period before arriving in France. We hope to be registered in about six months.

Has anyone else experienced this situation before.

Many thanks

Muscoka

Yes everybody who has retired out here below the UK retirement age.  The reciprocal arrangement you refer to is the E 106 form that you must have taken to CPAM to get an carte vitale and was issued you to for two years because you had paid NI in the UK during the previous three years.  Not sure what you mean by "We hope to be registered in about six months"  .The E 106s normally expire at the end of the year ie December 2006 so unless your one is an exception you had better get your skates on to avoid having no health cover.

Have a look at the search facility "E 106 expiring" ..........or look at the Health section where you posted this, the process of what to do next has been covered in detail many times and also quite recently. (EDIT Cooperlola has done it for you already) After looking at that lot, if you have any specific questions  post again.
