cooperlola
The only change comes when you reach UK retirement age (65 for men; 60 for women born before 1950; 61 for 1951 up to 65 for 1955) when you go onto an E121 and the UK once again pays your health contributions (the 8% of your RDV) to the French state. Whether your covered 100% by the French system is entirely dependent upon the nature of the condition (broken bones, for example, would not be covered). Benjamin
CooperlolaThe question was about top ups, not who pays for the 65/70%. [:D]
cooperlola
Very true, but I did think this was where the confusion may have arisen in the first place and that the o/p was confusing the contributions that are made to their CPAM with the top up insurance costs.Whatever - do not cancel your top-up insurance when you reach retirement age - the chances are you'll be eternally grateful for it!
