Jan
Hello. We are the parents of a severely autistic 16yr old boy who are becoming increasingly fed up with our L.E.A's attitude to educating adolescents with autism, particularly those at the severe end of the spectrum. We are seriously considering moving to France to give him and ourselves a better lifestyle and to deliver his education ourselves.Has anyone any similar experience in relocating with a special needs child who could give us some advice about services etc in France. Any response will be greatly appreciated. Many thanksJan & Bill
BJSLIV
Are you sure that you will be better placed to argue your corner in a foreign language?France can quite capable of providing both ends of the inappropriate spectrum.Integration/neglect in a mainstream school or isolation/neglect in the wrong kind of specialist school.Which type are you trying to avoid?
