Suninfrance
Hi - I have just read the breaking news on the FHI site and although there is still much work to do, the latest news can only be good news - so well done all of you for your hard work and campaigning. What is not clear from the news (unless I missed it), is how the new statement affects E121 holders who have received that E121 on grounds of Incapacity Benefit, who are not yet of retirement age and not receiving state pension. The E121 that was sent to OH in 2005 and which we never received, arrived last week as a second copy and I am a dependent on that E121. OH is on long term Incapacity Benefit which is why he has received the E121. Up until receipt of the E121 the CPAM (and us) believed we were on an E106 which was due to expire on 5th Jan 2008 so we are not yet affiliated to the CMU. Do we just take the E121 to the CPAM and become affiliated? Also, yesterday, we received a form called Revenus de 2006 Contributions Sociales with a sum of money that we have to pay for: Revenus de capitaux mobiliers (2)Revenus etrangers (6)Base ImposableTaux de l'impositionTotal net de l'imposition Montant de la C.S.G deductible (9) pris en compte pour l'imposition Des revenus percus en 2008 Although my husband's French is pretty good we are not sure what this form is about and can only assume that this means by paying the sum requested, we are now affiliated to the CMU. What does CSG stand for?Sorry if I'm being a bit thick on this one, but like the title says - CONFUSED Could you advise please.
Sunday Driver
Your E121 entitles you to affiliate to the general health fund, therefore the CMU doesn't apply to you. Just take the form to your CPAM and they'll sort it out for you.The other form you have received is the bill for your social contributions based on your property rental and foreign earnings - nothing to do with healthcare contributions. The montant de la CSG deductable pris en compte pour l'imposition des revenus percu en 2008 is the amount of this year's charge that you can offset against your next year's tax. When you get your next 2042 declaration, this amount will already be filled in for you.CSG - contribution sociale généralisée
