jehe
Our health cover earned through Uk NI contributions ran out this year but we have now registered our new business and commence paying social contributions as a Micro in January. Will we automatically get our health cover or do we have to apply ? Also, my 21 yr old son will be helping in the business so would he also be able to get covered.Thanks. tj
HiWhen you start paying your cotisations / contributions , you will receive your cartes vitale, if you have registered as a micro enterprise, from your post, you should actually all be named in the registration including your son, but the person whose name the business is registered in will automatically convey medical rights to the rest of the family from his/her contributions.FYI, if you are all working/helping in the business, there will be the normal cotisations to pay, by the head of the enterprise, plus 2 further pension contributions of around 500 euros each. You dont say what your business is, but if its anything visible outside the home, for example market traders, then you need to ensure whoever is present is properly accounted for. If help and assistance is of a non visible nature, for example a home based business then you may be able to get away with it.hope this helps and good luck with your venture
