Grumpy
Dear Mother-in-law has broken her false teeth! How does one go about getting repairs done? Can one approach the prothesiste directly or does one have to be referred by a dentist?many thanksSteve
Gardian
Steve .........I don't know whether you have to go via a dentist, but would have thought it preferable. He / she is then taking responsibility for the quality of the repair and if the fit is poor, then getting it rectified. Worst case, starting afresh (assuming that MOH is living here)
Tony F Dordogne
Definately through a dentist if she wants any of her money back for the work, just been through the same process, fitting on Wednesday this week, back and installed Friday, reclaimable in whole or in part through CPAM and mutuelle. Benjamin
Mrs Benjamin had a crack repaired in her plate last year. We found a repair laboratory via yellow pages but when we asked them they told us to go to a dentist. The plate was left with the dentist's receptionist and two days later we got a call to say the denture was ready for collection. The dentist spent all of two minutes checking the bite etc. (although nothing had happened physically to the plate) and charged something like 27€ for his services plus the cost of the repair, all of which was refunded via CPAM and our health insurance.
