Hereford
We have been asked to go with a newly arrived English couple when they go to CPAM to register with their E106s (they speak very little French). We have told them they need: Passports, marriage certificate, "long" birth certifcates, RIB, proof of address (we assume a rental agreement will do this). Our question is: As Cartes Vitales now are being issued with photographs do they need to take these on the initial visit to CPAM.? It would seem a pity to have to go back just with photos!ThanksMrs H.
cooperlola
It depends if the department in question is issuing them yet. But I agree with you - get them to take photos also then they cannot be wrong. There's a spec' for these somewhere which I posted in another thread the other day....EDIT : Voilahttp://www.sesam-vitale.fr/divers/vitale2/index.asp

The simplest method by far is just to walk into a photographic shop and ask for passport style photos.
cooperlola
I agree, Benjamin. What is more, the results tend to be a little less horific! Having once had a professional photographer do some for me (I worked with him so they were free), I now always at least look for somebody who has a modicum of an idea about lighting. Hereford
Thanks for such quick responses. We are in Manche, so if anyone actually knows if new joiners need photos here I would be grateful. We will probably suggest photos are taken as it is really annoying to be turned away with one thing missing. Thanks to allMrs H.
cooperlola
Some CPAMs don't even issue Cartes Vitales to E106 holders either so they may not need them anyway but for the belt and braces approach I think you are doing the safest thing.
